NEW ORLEANS (AP) -- The Hornets have ruled out 7-footer Jason Smith for Friday night's game against Minnesota and say he could miss up to two weeks with a right shoulder sprain.

Smith, a reserve forward and center, was hurt Wednesday night in a 92-88 loss at Oklahoma City.
Smith has been averaging 8 points, 3.7 rebounds and one blocked shot in about 18 minutes per game this season.
