ATLANTA (AP) -- The Atlanta Hawks have recalled rookie guard John Jenkins from their Bakersfield NBA Development League affiliate, and he is with the team for Wednesday night's game against Denver.

The Hawks need Jenkins for depth with guard Kyle Korver unavailable against the Nuggets. Korver is with his wife, who is expecting the couple's first child.
Jenkins averaged 25.5 points in two games with Bakersfield, including 29 against Los Angeles on Tuesday night.
Jenkins, a first-round draft pick out of Vanderbilt, and rookie forward Mike Scott were assigned to the D-League team on Sunday. Jenkins has scored six points in only 13 minutes with the Hawks.
For the Nuggets, center Kosta Koufos has the flu and is not with the team for Wednesday night's game.
Coach George Karl says Koufos traveled with the team to Atlanta and remained at the team hotel. Koufos started each of the Nuggets' first 18 games.
Timofey Mozgov is listed as the fill-in starter at center against the Hawks. Mozgov, a third-year player from Russia, is making his first start of the season. He is averaging 3.1 points and 3.3 rebounds.
