MIAMI (AP) -- The Miami Heat are preparing to be without forward Shane Battier for a few days because of what the team is calling a slight sprain in his right knee.

Battier is officially listed as day-to-day.
He did not practice on Monday, and said that he believes the injury "could have been a lot worse than it actually was." He got hurt on an awkward landing Saturday during the third quarter of Miami's win over Cleveland.
Battier has started all 13 of Miami's games this season, averaging 7.0 points and making nearly 46 percent of his 3-point tries. The Heat do not play again until Thursday, when they host San Antonio.
