Mavs' Marion leaves game with strained left knee

Posted Nov 5, 2012 11:32 PM

DALLAS (AP) -- Shawn Marion has left the Dallas Mavericks' game against the Portland Trail Blazers because of a strained left knee.

It wasn't immediately clear how and when Marion got hurt. The forward came out of the game with 5:52 left in the third quarter, when Chris Kaman replaced him.

The Mavericks are already without Dirk Nowitzki, who is recovered from arthroscopic knee surgery.

Marion had eight points and seven rebounds in 24 minutes on Monday night.
