OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- The Oklahoma City Thunder waived guard Walker Russell on Monday, reducing their training camp roster to 18.

Russell, who played 28 games with Detroit last season, was the first player to be cut by Oklahoma City during training camp. He appeared in one exhibition game, scoring five points with one assist in 6 minutes.
The Thunder must cut three more players before the regular season.
