NEW YORK (AP) -- The Brooklyn Nets have signed rookie forward Tornike Shengelia.

General manager Billy King announced the signing Tuesday without releasing terms of the deal.
The Nets acquired the 6-foot-10 native of the Republic of Georgia from Philadelphia in exchange for cash considerations. He was selected in the second round (54th overall) of this year's draft.
Shengelia played last season for Belgacom Spirou, averaging 8.9 points and 5.2 rebounds in 20 games in the Belgium League. He averaged 10.2 points and 3.6 rebounds in the recent Orlando Pro Summer League.
