NEW YORK (AP) -- Veteran free agent forward Gerald Wallace has signed a four-year, $40 million contract with the Brooklyn Nets.


The two sides reached an agreement at the start of the month but the Nets could not official announce the signing until Wednesday.
Acquired from Portland at the trade deadline, Wallace started 16 games for the Nets, averaging 15.2 points, 6.8 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 1.4 steals in 35.8 minutes
The 25th pick in the 2001 draft, Wallace has appeared in 673 games with the Kings, Bobcats, Trail Blazers and Nets. The 2010 NBA All-Star holds career averages of 13.5 points, 6.3 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.5 steals in 31.1 minutes, shooting .473 from the field and .318 from 3-point range.
