NEW YORK (AP) -- Knicks guard Baron Davis was carted off the court on a stretcher with what appeared to be a severe knee injury in the third quarter Sunday against the Miami Heat.
Davis was driving up the court for a potential go-ahead basket when his right leg buckled and he fell to the court with 5:15 left. Concerned teammates quickly waved for help as Davis remained on the court.
The Knicks said Davis had a dislocated right patella.
Davis, who has battled injuries all season, becomes the latest Knicks guard lost to an injury. Jeremy Lin is still out after knee surgery and Iman Shumpert was lost for the season with a torn ACL in Game 1.
"It's been a rough year on our team as far as injuries," Knicks interim coach Mike Woodson said in a televised interview after the third quarter. "He's got a tough injury on his hands. I don't know how bad it is, but hopefully he'll have a speedy recovery."
