Rose sits out again for Bulls vs. Raptors

Posted Mar 24 2012 8:56PM

CHICAGO (AP) -- Chicago Bulls star Derrick Rose missed his sixth straight game Saturday night because of an injury to his right groin and there is no timetable for his return.

"I'm taking my time, it's the first time I ever had a groin injury and right now it's improving every day, so hopefully I'll be out there pretty soon," Rose said before the game against the Toronto Raptors.

"You really don't know long a groin injury is going to take, usually people recover soon but you have some times where it takes a little time. In my case it's taking quite a little time. All I can do is stay positive and try to give my teammates help. ... Of course I want to be out there. I hate being injured, but right now we are in a good groove."

The Bulls, who had the NBA's best record at 39-10 before Saturday, have done well without their point guard. Going into the game against Toronto, they were 11-4 without Rose this season. Rose also has missed games because of toe and back issues.

Chicago guard Richard Hamilton missed his 10th straight game with a shoulder injury. Hamilton has played only 16 games because of a variety of injuries in his first season with the Bulls.
