EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) -- The New Jersey Nets have signed Gerald Green to a second 10-day contract.
General Manager Billy King announced the deal on Thursday.
Green has averaged 5.6 points and 2.0 rebounds in five games since signing the first contract Feb. 27. He has averaged 18.6 minutes.
Prior to the deal with the Nets, Green was named MVP of the 2012 D-League All Star Game. He played in 22 games for the Los Angeles D-Fenders, averaging 19.1 points and 4.6 rebounds in 30.6 minutes. The 6-foot-8 forward won the 2007 NBA Slam Dunk Contest. He has played with Boston, Houston, Minnesota and Dallas in his NBA career
