NEWARK, N.J. (AP) -- New Jersey Nets backup point guard Jordan Farmar will be sidelined until after the All-Star break because of a groin injury.

Nets coach Avery Johnson said Farmar re-injured his groin in Saturday's win over Chicago. He missed Sunday night's game against Milwaukee and will sit out contests at New York on Monday and at home against Orlando on Wednesday.
Johnson hopes to have Farmar back after this weekend's All-Star game in Orlando, Fla.
Farmar is averaging 10.5 points and 3.3 assists in roughly 29 minutes per game.
