HOUSTON (AP) -- The Houston Rockets have signed free-agent forward Jeff Adrien.

The 6-foot-7 Adrien had been playing in Italy after appearing in 23 games in separate stints with Golden State in 2010-11. Adrien played in 22 games last season for Rio Grande Valley, the Rockets' developmental league affiliate.

A former star at Connecticut, Adrien finished his college career with 1,603 points and 1,126. He was the fifth player in school history to amass over 1,000 points and 1,000 rebounds in a career.
