NEW YORK (AP) -- The NBA Store on Fifth Avenue will close Sunday and the league says a new location in New York will open soon.
The league also says Friday it is in discussions to open a temporary location in the city.
The NBA Store opened Sept. 18, 1998. The league announced in November that it would close sometime in February, but hadn't specified a date.
The league says it will update fans on a new store location on its Twitter and Facebook pages. In the meantime, executive vice president of global merchandising Sal LaRocca says in a statement that a full selection of merchandise is available online at www.nbastore.com.
