Heat's O'Neal hurts knee, leaves game

Posted Mar 6 2010 9:40PM

MIAMI (AP) -- Miami Heat center Jermaine O'Neal has been sidelined with an injury to his left knee, and it's uncertain how long he'll be out.

O'Neal was hurt in the second quarter of Saturday's game against Atlanta, although it wasn't clear how the injury happened. The Heat announced the injury late in the quarter, and O'Neal did not return.

That left the Heat down three players. Guard Rafer Alston wasn't at the arena for personal reasons, and swingman Dorell Wright sat out with a swollen left knee.

Wright is expected to return Tuesday at Charlotte.
