BOSTON (AP) -- Paul Pierce missed the Boston Celtics' game against Miami on Wednesday night because of a left foot injury.
Coach Doc Rivers said Pierce also would likely miss Friday night's game against the New Jersey Nets. But Rivers didn't rule Pierce out of Sunday's game against the Orlando Magic. All three games are in Boston.
The Celtics said Pierce sprained his left foot Monday night in Washington. He played after being hurt, but Rivers said Pierce's foot was bothering him after the game.
Pierce is Boston's leading scorer, averaging 18.9 points.
