Injured Gasol to join Lakers on Texas trip

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Injured Pau Gasol plans to join the Los Angeles Lakers on their upcoming Texas trip, hoping he can return to practice on the road.

Gasol missed his fourth straight game Sunday night against Milwaukee with a strained right hamstring. Coach Phil Jackson said the Spanish forward experienced soreness after running on a treadmill Saturday.

"He hasn't had any significant pain at all doing anything else before this," Jackson said, adding he was concerned because Gasol takes a while to return from injuries.

Gasol missed the season's first 11 games with a strained left hamstring.

The Lakers visit San Antonio on Tuesday and Dallas on Wednesday.
