Summary
The Warriors won 48 games last season, just missing a playoff spot, but injuries and poor personnel decisions have made this team a bottom feeder. Bringing in Jamal Crawford for Al Harrington made sense in the short term because Harrington wanted out and Golden State missed Ellis' scoring ability, but what happens now that Crawford and Ellis have to share the ball?
Before Stephen Jackson's hamstring acted up, his 6.0 assists per game were a testament to him being a team player, but his 39.2 field goal percentage meant that he should have been passing the ball even more. Undrafted rookie Anthony Morrow made a splash with 37 points in his first career start and has maintained a 50.6 3-point percentage since then.
Until this team starts taking pride in its defense, there's not much hope for it in the West. -- Dave McMenamin
