 PF Carlos Boozer (12 games played) has been a non-factor, though PF Paul Millsap (15.6 ppg, 9.7 rpg) has filled in superbly. C Mehmet Okur (17.1 ppg, 8.2 rpg) is solid when healthy.

 PG Deron Williams (16.8 ppg, 10.1 apg) is putting up numbers, but doesn't appear fully recovered from his ankle injury. SG Ronnie Brewer (12.8 ppg, 48.7 FG%) is holding his own.

 Allowing 99.5 ppg and 45.5 FG%, both falling in the bottom half of the league. Middle of the road in rebounding and blocked shots, but second in steals.

 Currently injured F Andrei Kirilenko (12.7 ppg, 5.5 rpg, 1.6 spg, 1.4 bpg) does a bit of everything. G Kyle Korver (8.4 ppg) is a deadeye. Millsap plucked from reserve duty.

 Jerry Sloan coached his 1,000th game with Utah earlier this season and has used about that many lineups. Injuries aside, Jazz lack a certain toughness that Sloan teams are known for.

Summary
If Lady Luck played for the Jazz, she'd be out 8-10 weeks. Boozer, Williams, Okur and Kirilenko have all missed significant time. Utah lost only 45 games to injury/illness/personal reasons last year. Through the first 45 games this season, the total was 121.
While the Jazz remain stout at home, the road hasn't been too kind. Among the nine playoff contenders in the West, Utah easily has the worst mark away from home. That's a definite sore spot for the squad that would likely start the playoffs on the road if it qualifies.
Millsap has provided a huge lift with Boozer out, and SF CJ Miles has come along after a slow start. Outside of Chris Paul, there may not be a better quarterback than Williams. Still, Sloan has to be worried about the defensive shortcomings and if he'll ever have a complete team. -- Art Garcia
