The NBA took away his Band-Aid, but nothing could take away his Flash.

When Miami needed a steal, Dwyane Wade got them a steal. When the Heat needed a block, he got them a block. When they needed to shift the momentum, Wade did what he does best: He got buckets.
Wade was everywhere on Saturday, finishing with 46 points, 10 assists and eight rebounds to power Miami to a 120-115 come-from-behind victory over New York. It was Wade's third straight double-double and capped off a week where he torched Orlando for 50 points in a 122-99 loss on Sunday.
"D-Wade is D-Wade," New York's Nate Robinson said. "You see what he can do."
No biggie. That's just the kind of things MVPs do.
Wait, you mean the MVP race has another candidate outside of Kobe Bryant and LeBron James? At this rate, Wade seems to make the case that there should be.
While you may be hard-pressed to find someone who is picking the Heat to come out of the East, Miami's complete turnaround from last season's 15-67 meltdown falls directly on Wade's MVP-caliber play. At 31-27, Miami is fifth in the East and Wade, who is edging out both Kobe and LeBron as top scorer in the league at 28.7 points a game, is the primary reason coach Erik Spoelstra isn't folding under the pressure as a first-year coach.
"He had that look in his eye that we hadn't seen since Dallas," Spoelstra said, referring to Wade's breakout Finals series against the Mavs.
If Wade's 2006 form is materializing once again, Kobe, LeBron, NBA... watch out.

His will be the first Heat jersey to be retired by the team, which has previously put the numbers of Michael Jordan and Dan Marino on the arena wall. It's long been Miami's plan to make Mourning the first Heat player to receive the honor.
Utah Jazz owner Larry H. Miller received a fitting farewell on Saturday. His funeral was held in the arena he built, his casket painted in the scheme of his beloved Shelby Cobras and his five children each drove a sports car in the procession to the cemetery where Miller was laid to rest.
