MIAMI (AP) -- Heat center Jermaine O'Neal missed Friday night's game against Dallas to remain with relatives after a family funeral in South Carolina.

He was expected to return to Miami and rejoin the team in time for practice Saturday, coach Erik Spoelstra said.
O'Neal also missed Miami's game Sunday in Sacramento to be with his family. Joel Anthony was slated to start for the Heat at center against the Mavericks in O'Neal's place.
