Thunder's Krstic sidelined with sore Achilles

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Injuries are starting to mount for the Oklahoma City Thunder. Starting center Nenad Krstic, averaging 8.3 points and 4.9 rebounds will miss tonight's contest with Houston because of a sore achilles.

"Nenad will be out tonight and then will be day-to-day," said Thunder coach Scott Brooks. "We'll start Etan (Thomas) in his place, it should be a good match-up."

The Thunder will get a little bit of a break since Rockets starting center Chuck Hayes is just 6-foot-6. Thomas, at 6-foot-10, is two inches shorter than Krstic but can move around a little better and is a bit more of a wide body to go up against Hayes.

"Hayes is about as tough as a 6-6 guy can be," said Brooks.

The Thunder will just suit up nine players tonight. Forward Nick Collison continues to nurse a sore leg and is out. So are guards Kevin Ollie, Shaun Livingston and Kyle Weaver.

"Weaver will have surgery tomorrow on his shoulder and Ollie will have a minor procedure on his knee. We're not sure about a timetable yet on getting those guys back," Brooks told reporters at this morning's shootaround.

"And Shaun (Livingston) is starting to practice more but he's still out."

Weaver has a dislocated shoulder and both Ollie and Livingston have sore knees.
