Magic center Adonal Foyle has knee surgery

Posted Oct 21 2009 4:12PM

ORLANDO, Florida (AP) -- Orlando Magic reserve center Adonal Foyle underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right knee on Wednesday.

The team said there's no timetable for Foyle's return, which will depend on how his knee responds to treatment. Foyle hasn't played in the NBA preseason and has participated only in a few practices because of knee soreness.

Magic coaches have touted the 34-year-old Foyle as a strong practice partner for center Dwight Howard. But the player from St. Vincent and the Grenadines likely wouldn't have received much playing time this season behind Howard and backup center Marcin Gortat.
