West, Moon to miss Cavaliers' preseason game vs. Bobcats

Posted Oct 9 2009 4:41PM

INDEPENDENCE, Ohio (AP) -- Delonte West and Jamario Moon will miss the Cleveland Cavaliers' exhibition game Saturday against Charlotte.

West has missed practices this week with excused absences as he tends to personal issues. Moon had wisdom teeth extracted on Friday and will not travel with the team.

West also missed the first two days of training camp, though those absences were unexcused. He started at shooting guard last year, but has yet to appear in a scrimmage or exhibition game during the preseason.

West has battled bipolar disorder and could face a league suspension stemming from an arrest last month on misdemeanor gun possession charges in Maryland. The case is pending.
