CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) -- CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) -- The Charlotte Bobcats have signed guard Dontell Jefferson for the rest of the season.

The move Tuesday came at the end of Jefferson's second 10-day contract. Jefferson has yet to play in a game for the Bobcats, but coach Larry Brown wanted depth in the backcourt.

The 6-foot-5 Jefferson averaged 18.6 points and 5.5 assists in 32 games with Utah in the NBA Development League. He first signed with Charlotte on March 11.
