Foye out for Wolves; Simmons down for Nets

Posted Mar 29 2009 4:07PM

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- Guard Randy Foye and forward Craig Smith missed Minnesota's game against New Jersey while the Nets were without Bobby Simmons and Jarvis Hayes.

Foye was out of Sunday's game with a hip injury that has bothered him for the last month. He played through the pain while also dealing with an ankle injury, but coach Kevin McHale said that the hip has continued to be a problem in recent days.

Smith was out with a calf injury. Both are listed as day-to-day.

Simmons missed the game for Nets with a muscle problem in his back.

Hayes left the team to fly to Atlanta to be with his wife, who gave birth to a baby boy on Sunday morning.
