• NCAA to NBA: An in-depth look at some tournament facts

Name: Jordan Farmar, L.A. Lakers

School: UCLA, 2004-06

Tournament credentials: 2006 National Championship Game runner-up

I Think About My NCAA Trip ...: Somebody on the prank pulled a prank on [Morrison when he first came to the Lakers] by putting a picture of him [crying in the waning seconds of the Gonzaga-UCLA game] up [on his locker] but that was the most I've thought about it. It's in the past now. It's a 'What have you done for me lately?' kind of thing in this business. So, we haven't really talked about it much, but [tournament time] is fun. It was real special. It helped me get to where I'm at now. I'm blessed to be a part of it. I grew up loving it and watching it and wanting to play in it, so it's good.

My NCAA moment: The game against Gonzaga [Editor's note: Farmar's Bruins beat current Lakers teammate Adam Morrison's Bulldogs 73-71] was one of them and then just playing in the Final Four and the national championship. [The Gonzaga game] was special because everyone in the crowd counted us out, it looked like it wasn't going to come out in our favor [Editor's note: UCLA trailed by nine points with just over three minutes to go] and we stuck with it and fought it out and there was so much energy, passion and all that good stuff. And then, just playing in front of 80,000 people playing for all the marbles, something I grew up loving and watching, was also really, really special.

At Home to Remind Me: My mom has all my high school and college stuff. She likes that kind of stuff. If I ever wanted it, I'd know where to go, but I don't keep anything at my house.

Who I'm Watching This Year: I always root for UCLA. I like [Connecticut's Hasheem] Thabeet and I like [Oklahoma's] Blake Griffin, but I think Thabeet is going to be a really good player, especially in the league.
