• NCAA to NBA: An in-depth look at some tournament facts

Name: Kiki Vandeweghe, general manager, New Jersey Nets

School: UCLA, 1976-80

Tournament credentials: Made Finals in 1980

My NCAA Moment: I think making the NCAA Tournament my senior year (at UCLA in 1980). It was a shocker. We were the last team picked, and we made it to the finals. That was something pretty special.

I Think About My NCAA Trip ...: I think there are die-hard core of Bruins fans who remember every single thing about UCLA basketball. You run into them all over the world. It's always fun to talk about that great time in my life at UCLA. I had a lot of fun.

At Home to Remind Me: Honestly, I really don't keep stuff. I usually give it away, but right now, some of it I wish I had for my son.

The Best Way to Win an NCAA Pool: It involves a lot of luck. And look for the healthy teams.

Who I'm Watching This Year: I just enjoy the games. I'm a basketball fan, so I like watching college basketball, pro basketball. It's fun. What is special about the NCAAs are the rivalries, the support the teams get. It brings you back to when you played in the tournament. It's just a very, very fun time.

My Final Four: Believe it or not, and it may not be possible, but they could all come from the Big East this year. The Big East is so good this season, the Big East tournament was one of the best I've ever seen.
