• NCAA to NBA: An in-depth look at some tournament facts

Name: Jarvis Hayes, New Jersey Nets

School: Georgia, 2001-03

Tournament credentials: A brief shining moment in '02

My NCAA Moment: For me it was just getting there. I went to Georgia and we hadn't had a lot of success in the tournament. But the first round against Murray State (in 2002), the first tournament game, I had 31, so that was a good experience.

I Think About My NCAA Trip ... : This time of year, I always think about it and not for a good reason. My last year at Georgia, we were taken out of the SEC and NCAA tournaments. It brings up bad memories, I guess, but I did have that good memory.

At Home to Remind Me: I have the bags. In Chicago, that's where we were, I still have the nameplate from press conference you have after the game. The one with the NCAA logo. We got bags and a watch and a lot of good things that I still have.

The Best Way to Win an NCAA Pool: Don't pick game on the seed, that's the worst thing you can possibly do. You obviously need to know the game. You need to look at each team and their style of play. Then again, there are people who win their tournament pools blind.

Who I'm Watching This Year: I think Virginia Commonwealth with Anthony Grant. He does a great job at VCU. He was supposed to get that Florida job (when Billy Donovan flirted with the Magic), but I hope he takes the Georgia job. He's done a marvelous job at VCU. That's my Cinderella.

My Final Four: I like Memphis, Oklahoma, Pitt and Louisville. Blake Griffin is a beast and they don't play a lot of guys, but if they get him going, they're going to be a tough out.
