WALTHAM, Mass. (AP) -- Boston Celtics coach Doc Rivers expects Kevin Garnett to play against the Los Angeles Lakers after missing two games with the flu.

Rivers said Garnett felt strong during a shoot-around Thursday morning, but "when you're running up and down the floor when you haven't done it, that's a different story."
Ray Allen, who hit the game-winning 3-pointer in Philadelphia on Tuesday, also has been weakened with flu-like symptoms. He also is expected to play.
The Celtics have given antibiotics to other players in the hope of warding off further sickness.
Boston, which has won 12 games in a row, plays the Lakers on Thursday night at TD Banknorth Garden for the first time since winning the NBA championship last season.
