DENVER (AP) -- Phoenix Suns center Shaquille O'Neal was inactive for Thursday's game at Denver for what Phoenix coach Terry Porter said was a "routine night off."

The 36-year-old O'Neal is averaging 17.7 points and nine rebounds in 29 games this season. He has missed six games, the last one against Indiana on Jan. 7 with back spasms. Phoenix is 2-4 with O'Neal out of the lineup.
