Warriors' Wright dislocates shoulder during game

Posted Jan 8 2009 12:02AM

OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) -- Golden State forward Brandan Wright partially dislocated his left shoulder late in the first half of the Warriors' game against the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday night.

Wright, a second-year pro who started his 16th game of the season, was hurt while attempting to block Pau Gasol's dunk with 50 seconds left in the half. He left the court holding his arm, and the Warriors said he wouldn't return.

Wright had five points and nine rebounds when he was injured. He is averaging 8.0 points and 3.6 rebounds this season.
