BOSTON (AP) -- The Boston Celtics have recalled rookies J.R. Giddens and Bill Walker from their NBA Development League team.

Giddens, a 6-foot-5 guard, was selected by the Celtics from New Mexico with the 30th overall pick in the NBA draft. He played in 13 games with the NBDL's Utah Flash, averaging 17.3 points and 6.5 rebounds per game.
Walker, a 6-foot-6 forward from Kansas State, was acquired in a draft-night trade after being selected with the 47th pick by the Washington Wizards. Walker was averaging 18.7 points and 5.3 rebounds in 15 games with Utah.
The Celtics, who have lost six of their last eight games after a 27-2 start, made the moves Thursday. They play the Eastern Conference-leading Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday.
