T-Wolves' Brewer out for season with knee injury

Posted Dec 1 2008 3:14PM

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- The Minnesota Timberwolves expect to be without defensive specialist Corey Brewer for the remainder of the season due to a right knee injury.

Brewer injured the knee Saturday's loss to Denver, team spokesman Mike Cristaldi said. An MRI on Monday revealed the extent of the damage. A surgery date has not been set.

Brewer did not travel with the team to Charlotte on Monday.

The 6-foot-9 swingman is in his second season out of Florida. He's averaging 6.2 points and 3.3 rebounds this season.
