Bulls waive forward Demetris Nichols

DEERFIELD, Ill. (AP) -- The Chicago Bulls waived forward Demetris Nichols on Monday.

The 6-foot-8 Nichols appeared in two games this season and averaged one point. He was claimed on waivers by the Bulls in December of 2007 and later re-signed by Chicago this past July.

Nichols was a second-round pick of the Portland Trail Blazers in 2007.
