Strained groin sidelines Marion against Portland

Posted Nov 12 2008 7:29PM

MIAMI (AP) -- Heat forward Shawn Marion was held out of Miami's game against the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday night because of continued problems with a strained groin.

Marion was injured in Saturday's loss at New Orleans. He sat out Miami's win over New Jersey on Monday and got treatment again nearly until game time Wednesday with hopes of playing against the Blazers.

Yakhouba Diawara started again in Marion's place. Marion could return Friday when Miami hosts Washington.
