CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) -- The Charlotte Bobcats have waived forward Justin Williams to leave the team with the regular-season limit of 15 players.

Williams was let go Thursday, hours before Charlotte's last exhibition game against the Los Angeles Lakers. The Bobcats signed Williams to a non-guaranteed deal last week, following his release by Golden State.
The 6-foot-10 Williams played in three preseason games, averaging 0.7 points and 1.3 rebounds.
