The YMCA of Metro Atlanta and the Atlanta Hawks launched a new multi-year partnership in which the Y and its signature “Y” logo has now became the Official Jersey Patch Partner of the Atlanta Hawks.
To join the fight against food insecurity, the Hawks, State Farm®, U.S. Hunger, and more than 5,000 volunteers from metro Atlanta packed one million meals to benefit the Atlanta Community. Delivering on the commitment to be True to Atlanta, all meals benefited 12 local non-profits in the Metro Atlanta area.
The Atlanta Hawks Foundation’s mission is to continue to grow the Atlanta Hawks as a community asset by building bridges through basketball, providing safe access to play, and providing community opportunities for mental and physical wellness and economic empowerment. Since 2015, the Hawks Foundation has improved and increased the availability of public basketball courts and youth enrichment spaces with State Farm in 19 locations, resulting in 29 courts and nine Good Neighbor Clubs with public access to over 1.9 million people within a 2.5 mile radius of all locations.
During 2023, over 50K + athletes and community coaches participated in Hawks Basketball Academy camps, clinics, tournaments, leagues, and the virtual platform, Hawks at Home. Through the five-week Jr. Hawks Summer Camp program, the 15-stop Community Basketball Court Tour, several youth tournaments, and professional development opportunities for Jr. Hawks Coaches, the Hawks are committed to strengthening the culture of youth basketball. Since 2017, Atlanta Hawks Academy has doubled youth basketball participation.
The Atlanta Hawks believe in championing gender equality by empowering young girls and women to be bold, courageous, and persistent in all spaces of their everyday life. Through purposeful programming and recognition of women's accomplishments and their impact on society, the Hawks will continue to motivate and inspire the next generation of women leaders to strive for greatness.
Each season during November and December, the Atlanta Hawks family collaborates with corporate and community partners including Meals on Wheels Atlanta, UPS, Goodr and Santa for a Day, to curate unique, memorable experiences around the holidays for the Atlanta Community. Beyond the privilege of serving the community year-round, there is something extra special about the Season of Giving.
The College Park Skyhawks have soared in the local community, impacting over 8,000 people through education related initiatives, basketball clinics, and holiday giving initiatives. From Vision to Learn and Fifth Third Day to Colli’s Classroom, the Skyhawks have remained true to the Southside and continue to give back to the community.
Hawks Talon Gaming Club is the NBA 2K team for the Atlanta Hawks and joined the league in 2019. Over the last five seasons, Hawks Talon GC has focused on educating the Atlanta community on the new league, and on the business of esports and the many career paths available to youth in the industry.
